Crop Image
Crop a photo to an exact ratio or pixel size. Only one image can be cropped at a time. Cropping happens on your device, no file leaves it.
Crop processes one photo per run, up to 20MB. Batch cropping across many files is not part of this tool. Output always saves as JPG, so any transparent area in your source becomes solid white in the result.

How to use
- Add a photo Select or drop the photo you want to crop.
- Choose a preset Pick a ratio or social preset, or drag the selection by hand.
- Download Save the cropped JPG.
Pixel exact by default
Crop copies the pixels inside your selection one to one, with no resampling. What you see in the crop box is exactly what you get, at its original pixel density. That is what happens with the Free ratio or any of the fixed ratios: 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16 and 3:2.
Social presets rescale on purpose
Three social presets work differently. Instagram Post rescales your selection to exactly 1080x1080, Instagram Story to 1080x1920, and the YouTube preset to 1280x720. Picking one of these resamples the image to hit that exact size, trading pixel for pixel accuracy for a file that fits the platform's dimensions precisely.
Controls for getting the selection right
Rotate the photo 90 degrees, flip it horizontally or vertically, and toggle a grid overlay to line up the crop by eye. For exact control, type the X, Y, width and height numbers directly instead of dragging the selection by hand. The minimum crop box is 16px on each side.
Choosing a ratio versus a social preset
Pick a fixed ratio when you already know the destination and just need the framing right, a print layout or a website hero image for example. Pick a social preset when the target platform expects an exact pixel size, since guessing a close ratio still leaves the platform to resample your upload on its own terms. Everything runs locally, so the photo you crop never leaves your browser at any stage.

FAQ
Does cropping resample my photo's pixels?
Only if you pick a social preset. A ratio crop like 1:1 or 16:9 copies pixels 1:1 with no resampling; a social preset rescales the selection to its exact size.
Can I enter exact crop coordinates?
Yes. Type the X, Y, width and height numbers directly for a pixel precise crop instead of dragging the selection.
